What it is like to be a member of the Wealth Edit?

When you join you are instantly connected with women who are on a similar path. We are women, we have studied women, and the issues they care about when thinking about their lifestyles. We have found six distinct trajectories, or “glidepaths”. The quiz we offer will help determine your glidepath. Each glidepath contains customized content, and a built-in ecosystem where you can meaningfully connect. We also have meetups throughout the Southeast and in New York. The blend of anonymity and connection create a space where women can talk about subjects that have traditionally been taboo.

Can’t you just find this content online?

There is so much content online it is difficult to figure out which voices to listen to. And, the content usually doesn’t come with many realistic or practical next steps. Our content is created to be consumed slowly and thoughtfully, so you can gradually make changes in your life that can make a big impact on the way you relate to your wealth. You also have the ability to ask questions and get answers from your peers and subject matter experts.

Why do you have to know someone who is a member to apply?

We want to build our community slowly and carefully. We want it to truly be a community. A community exists when members trust their peer group, contribute, and are willing to be a little vulnerable. This may not be the case forever, but for now this is our way of “getting it right” on the internet. If you have a passion for our mission and don’t know anyone, please email us at [email protected] and we will work with you.

Do I have to answer all the questions?

Yes.

I don’t know what I can contribute to the community as I don’t know much about wealth?

Don’t worry about your current knowledge or expertise, think about the fact that you are willing to ask questions like this one. Your questions are a very important contribution to our community.

Why isn’t it free?

We want you to be serious about your wealth. If you go through the exercises, absorb the content slowly and carefully, we believe you will learn habits that will grow your wealth well beyond the monthly membership value. It is also less per month than a cute shirt! If you find this is not the case, you may cancel at any time, but we hope you stay forever. If you see areas where we can add more value please email us at [email protected].

I already have a financial advisor, am I cheating on them?
Not at all! We love when people seek professional advice and guidance on their wealth. In fact, our founders run an advisory practice, Somerset Advisory. The Wealth Edit is NOT a substitute for a financial planning engagement. We don’t know your financial circumstances so we can’t give you individual advice and guidance through The Wealth Edit. Sometimes, particularly in dual income households, women don’t feel “heard” by their advisor, or they don’t feel comfortable asking questions. This is a good place to ask general questions about wealth in a private environment. Please freely post to our community forum.
I took the quiz but I don’t think it accurately describes me.

Women are complex and interesting, and while most people fit into a glidepath from time to time someone doesn’t fit perfectly. If this is a case email us at [email protected], and we can work with you to put you on a glidepath that may work better for you.

I’m not a woman but I want to join, what do I do?

Anyone is welcome to apply to be a member of the Wealth Edit. We focus on women because, traditionally, financial services has placed all women in the same bucket, if they acknowledge women at all. It is a system built by men for men, and it works well for them. We are going to curate our content for women because we think the financial system needs some tweaks.

Why do you focus on the Southeast?

We are committed to growing slowly, carefully and have a strong sense of place. However, if you are a southerner at heart and know a member of The Wealth Edit, you are warmly welcome here.

How will I find out about the events?

We will post on our website where we are traveling and where you can meet up with other members of The Wealth Edit. Most of our events will be held in cities throughout the Southeast. We will try to send a special push to members in the vicinity of our events so they have an opportunity to connect in person.

How do I cancel my membership?

You may cancel at any time, and we hate to see you go. Please let us know how we can improve and we hope one day you come back.
